Dr. Zimring has over 25 years of professional experience and formal training in the fields of education and child and adolescent psychology.
She began her career in education, and quickly realized that in order to best help her students, she needed to understand the additional social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties many of them faced. Her extensive training and experience in both education and psychology provide her with a unique skill set for understanding and addressing the many needs of children, adolescents, and their families.
Dr. Zimring is a licensed psychologist in both California and Nevada. Dr. Zimring opened her private practice in 2014. In 2018, she expanded her practice and joined with Dr. Whitney Owens and Dr. Jordan Soper to form The Evidence Based Practice of Nevada, also known as The EBP. In addition to her independent practice-based work, Dr. Zimring serves as the Youth Program Clinical Coordinator at UNLV PRACTICE. Dr. Zimring also serves as a subject matter expert for Project ECHO Nevada through UNR School of Medicine.
Dr. Zimring is a member of the American Psychological Association and Nevada Psychological Association. She previously served as the Legislative Chairperson, Federal Advocacy Coordinator, and President (2017 - 2018) of the Nevada Psychological Association, and she remains involved in the organization.
Dr. Zimring is licensed in California, Nevada, and Alaska. She is also approved under PSYPACT to provide services to children and families in many other states.
